Tracer gas pipe leak detector
Hydrogen tracer gas leak detection is used by injection delivery into the target pipeline though a manifold. As the gas travels along the pipeline it escapes at the leak point.
Tracer gas has the smallest and lightest molecule which permeates the ground and covering layers such as concrete, bitumen by making the shortest possible route to the surface usually directly above the leak. Once the tracer gas is injected into a system, tracer gas detection equipment is used by walking the route of the pipework and detecting for presence of tracer gas along the ground. Tracer gas has many advantages as it is non-toxic, non-corrosive, can be used in noises environment where acoustic may not, excellent detection rating, ideal for tiny leaks and no risk to water quality.
